Tools needed:
- 2.5 mm hex wrench
- 10 mm socket wrench
- 5 mm hex wrench
- Long screw driver
- 7 mm socket wrench
- Small mirror
- Remove the back panel using the 2.5 hex wrench.
- Raise and support the back end of the machine to about 6 inches.
- Remove the pump mounting bolts using the 5 mm hex wrench
- Carefully move the pump around to expose the exhaust filter cover.
- Remove cover and 4 bolts using the 10 mm socket wrench.
- Loosen the filter retaining bracket bolt using the 7 mm socket wrench and remove it.
- Pull the exhaust filter out along with the filters O-ring.
- If the O-ring is stuck around the port hole, remove it using a long screwdriver.
- Insert new exhaust filter with O-ring and reverse steps 6) through 1), using the mirror to align the pump mounting bolt holes together.

ALL MODELS EXCEPT MVS 45 series:
- Carefully remove the machine side cover using the supplied 2.5mm hex wrench.
- Using pliers carefully unscrew the cover protecting the exhaust filter.
- Using a flat blade screw driver carefully remove the exhaust filter.
- Replace exhaust filter and reassemble all covers removed.

FOR MVS WITH RIETSCHLE PUMP:
If you are changing the exhaust filter, part number FM720234, and there is a shaft that does not allow the filter to enter the exhaust port, the shaft must be removed.
The shaft is threaded on one side and screws into the port.
